General Business Combination

Our GB Combination Course combines General and Business English. This is a very cost effective way to attend executive courses.

Course features and objectives

The 25 hour per week course combines 15 General and 10 Business lessons, while the 30 hour per week course combines 18 General lessons with 12 Business.

The business element is General Business and covers business vocabulary and basic business skills. The courses may not be provided by a highly experienced Business English tutor, as on our Professional English courses, but will be given by tutors with experience of teaching the general aspects of business practice.

If you need to improve your English to help you to be more effective at work, this is the way to do it. You will find the process of learning/revising essential grammar and skills more stimulating when you can relate it to a Business English context.

Total immersion is by far the fastest and most effective way to achieve rapid progress. You will learn quickly and derive maximum benefit from the time you spend out of the office.

When you are eating and socialising with your host family in a relaxed atmosphere it is easy to start using the structures and vocabulary you learn in formal lessons. In this way you will find that the new items "stick" in your mind, especially if you do a small amount of the written homework you host tutor will set you to help the assimilation process.

So one-to-one lessons with your teacher, reinforced by the many opportunities for practising you will have from daily interaction with your family, will enable you to increase your confidence to communicate, enhance your vocabulary and make you more at ease in a Business environment.
