2. Course description ASUnit 1 - Global Challenges. This unit focuses on the meaning causes impacts and management of global challenges such as geophysical and meteorological hazards climate change migration world cities and globalisation and how we can influence global challenges through our own lives.Unit 2 - Geographical Investigations. You will be required to show your skills in the planning collection and analysis of information as well as concluding and evaluating fieldwork and research findings. You will study two topics Crowded Coasts and Rebranding. A residential fieldwork course is an annual event.A2Unit 3 - Contested Planet. This unit forms the core of A2 Geography and aims to introduce you to key contemporary global issues and to allow you to explore the significance of the issues and examine a range of potential solutions to them. Decisions making skills and skills pertinent to University are developed in A2.Unit 4 - You will carry out research into a chosen topic.
