The aim of second-cycle study programme Geotechnics is to prepare specialists, who are able to solve geotechnical problems; to systemize, analyze, evaluate and summarize information; gather skills of planning, creative thinking; to carry out experiments and evaluate qualitatively obtained results for applying them in practice, namely: to identify necessary for design geotechnical parameters, to design and construct geotechnical structures for new and reconstructed buildings by applying the newest modern methods for research and design of structures, to calculate and construct by applying the modern technologies in building construction, to apply different research methods; to formulate research aims, plan and carry out experiments to achieve formulated aims, to analyze and summarize research outcomes.
