Alle schriftlichen Hausaufgaben sollen pünktlich abgegeben werden. Achten Sie bitte auf das Format: links und rechts 2 cm Rand und jede zweite Zeile frei lassen.

Im Laufe des ganzen Kurses sollten Sie täglich Nachrichten aus Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich hören, sehen und lesen. Sie werden in der ersten Stunde darüber berichten. Weitere Angaben zu Nachrichtensendungen finden Sie auf dem Kurswebsite unter Webresourcen.

Jeder Kursteilnehmer wird ein Video iPod für die Dauer des Kurses bekommen, mit dem außerhalb des Unterrichts intensiv mit gesprochenem Deutsch gearbeitet wird. Auf dem Kurswebsite finden Sie eine Liste von Podcasts (Video und Audio). Bitte abonnieren Sie mindestens vier Podcasts, die Sie während der Woche hören/sehen: Tagesschau, Schweizer Nachrichten (Echo der Zeit), Österreichische Nachrichten.

Vokabelarbeit: Jeder Kursteilnehmer ist während des Kurses mehrmals für das Zusammenstellen einer Liste mit neuen Wörtern verantwortlich (siehe Muster für Vokabelliste). Diese Listen werden als Grundlage für die Wortschatzerweiterung dienen. Als tägliche Hausaufgabe schreibt man einen eigenen Beispielsatz für jedes neue Wort auf der Vokabelliste. Die Vokabelsätze werden täglich abgegeben. Über diese Vokabeln werden es wöchentliche Vokabeltests geben.

Dieser Kurs ist ein Intensivkurs ist. Das bedeutet, dass von den Kursteilnehmern erwartet wird, dass sie jeden Tag soviel leisten wie im normalen Semester in einer Woche. Tägliche aktive Teilnahme am Unterricht ist notwendig um den Kurs zu bestehen.

There is a pedagogical reason for the strict and controlled organization of this course: the secret to success in foreign language acquisition lies in sustained daily effort, frequent practice during the day and thorough learning habits. Therefore, I will not accept late homework, including essays, unless you have gotten an extension from me beforehand. If an emergency situation or sleep deprivation should prevent you from preparing for class, don't stay away. Tell me at the beginning of class and we will try to make the best of the situation.

According to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, to plagiarize is "to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own: use (a created production) without crediting the source; to commit literary theft: present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source."

This includes copying from a book, newspaper, journal or any other printed source, as well as electronic resources such as the World Wide Web without the appropriate acknowledgement. According to this definition, plagiarism also includes the following:
