Gestalt in Action

Gestalt in Action is an introductory weekend to the principles and practice of the Gestalt approach. We will be using structured exercise, individual and group process and discussion to explore together the basic principles of awareness and how this can deepen our contact with others and ourselves in any situation. We will be experimenting with words, drawing, movement and other creative ways, in a supportive and safe atmosphere where it is possible to confront how we contribute to frustration and dissatisfaction in our lives. As central to the Gestalt approach, we will also look at the issue of responsibility, and explore the fears and beliefs which may keep us locked in cycles of guilt and blame.

This weekend workshop is suitable for anyone interested in a hands-on experience of the Gestalt approach; either as an introduction and for self exploration, or as part of a professional training programme for those already working in the field of counselling and related professions.
