Course description:
This course offers beginners a chance to get some hands on experience with hot glass. Through demonstration students will be shown the basic principles of glass blowing; learning how to gather the molten glass, how to shape and form the glass into solid and blown forms, learn about colour and textures in glass and how to sand cast. We will make paper weights, beads, vases or sculptural objects. A day full of heat, lots of excitement and plenty of fun!
•Materials will be provided.
•All work will be annealed over night and collected or sent at additional cost.
•Please wear an old cotton long sleeved top and flat shoes (no open toes!).
