Golf Academy Diploma Level 3

If you’re a keen golfer you can study for a sports qualification, whilst continuing to play golf at Stourbridge College’s Golf Academy. You will study in our Centre of Sporting Excellence. You will also have the opportunity to have 3 hours of professional golf tuition each week as well as fitness sessions and a free membership at Hagley Golf and Country Club. The Golf Academy combines the opportunity to develop your golfing skills and techniques as well as achieving a recognised sports qualification. To study at the Golf Academy you will need to apply on line and you will also need to take part in a golf assessment session as part of your application process.
If you love sport and learning about how the application of science could improve your performance in sport then this is the course for you. Building upon what you have learnt at school, this one year course will mix both the practical and theoretical aspects of sport and develop your understanding and knowledge across a range of subject areas. It will both challenge you and inspire you to learn more about how you can develop your own sporting performance and that of those around you. Throughout the course you will learn about how your body works and how your mind and thinking will affect your performance. You will also learn about how you can both train your body and test it to discover just how fit you actually are.
