Course programme
A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE qualifications.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?GCSE grades A* - C in at least five academic subjects in one sitting. You must have at least a grade B in English Language.
What will I study ?AS Government & Politics specification - 8GP01 Examining Board - EDEXCEL Units 1 and 2 include the following: Unit 1 - People and Politics, Democracy, Political Parties, Pressure Groups, Elections Unit 2 - Governing the UK, The Constitution, The Prime Minister and Cabinet, The Judiciary and Civil Rights *In addition tutorial and workshop support will be added.
How will I be assessed ?Assessment will be through examination according to the specification of the awarding examination board for each subject.
What qualifications could I achieve ?On successful completion of this course, you will achieve AS Level certificates in each subject on your programme.
How do I join the course ?You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment.
Will I need an interview ?Yes, before you can enrol.
