This course is delivered by experts including leading Primary Care Physicians and NHS consultants providing short lectures and small group work where the use of specific custom made latex models will be used to ensure as life like as possible experience is gained in the practical work.

About this course
This course will provide GP's with the skills and knowledge to perform Minor Surgery at their own practice or improve and develop their surgical techniques and competencies.
Topics covered include:
•Local anaesthesia
•Surgical techniques
•Management of lipomata, cysts, skin lesions & in-growing toenails
•Suturing techniques & Wound healing
•Live video demonstrations
•Practical workshops – skin pads, pig skin & trotters
This course is aimed at GP's, GP Trainees and GP's already performing Minor Surgery who wish to refresh their skills.
This course is delivered by experienced GPs, Dermatologists, Plastic and General Surgeons. The course allows GP's to practice Minor Surgery on life like models under the supervision of these expert professionals providing a hands on experience under the supervision of experts.

Course programme
Health professionals undertaking skin surgery need to be safe, confident and up-to-date with techniques and guidelines. This GP Minor Surgery Course includes lectures and expert led practical sessions consolidating new and existing minor surgery skills.
