Grado en Humanidades y Estudios Culturales

The Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies from the UIC is a university qualification designed within the framework of the European Higher Education Area. Students who study Humanities study culture and cultural relations. This program in particular provides an understanding of culture via the various humanistic disciplines.

This innovative degree program was designed to fill a need for professionals with extensive training in cultural studies. Students in this program are able to see things from a global perspective and are capable of establishing connections between ancient societies and modern society.

The curriculum for this program is comprehensive and includes a wide variety of fascinating topics such as anthropology, social phenomenon, cultural mediation, human geography and aesthetics and the link between cultures. Other interesting topics which will be explored include music as a social phenomenon and cultural mediation and conflict.

Given the inclusive nature of the topics covered, graduates of this program are qualified for a wide variety of different jobs upon graduation. This includes work in the cultural sector, such as in foundations, museums, galleries and publishing houses. Graduates could also be at ease working in academia, for non-proft organisations, or in roles which involve international cooperation and international dialogue.
