If you're seeking a shorter period of study than that required for the Master of Education (Sports Coaching) degree, you should consider this program.
You can still choose to complete your certificate with units of study that suit your interests, or specialise in your chosen field from our offerings in Sports Coaching. Subject to meeting progression requirements in the graduate certificate, you may apply to transfer to the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies or the Master of Education.
The course does not provide a recognised teaching qualification but is part of the broader postgraduate educational studies program for leaders and future leaders of dynamic and innovative education.

Course programme
Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Sports Coaching) Units of Study
Candidates are required to complete a total of 24 credit points (cp), including: a minimum of 18 cp (3 units of study) of core units. The balance consists of elective units.
Graduate opportunities
Even if you do not have an undergraduate degree but you have a Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) accreditation or the equivalent and a minimum of three years' coaching/sporting experience at an elite level you can apply for the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Sports Coaching). Once you successfully complete the Graduate Certificate, you are eligible to upgrade to the Master of Education (Sports Coaching).
