The unit is underpinned by positive psychology principles as well as contemporary model of work behaviour that identifies the importance of mastery, agility, and proactivity for success in today’s complex and changing organisations.Organisational BehaviourThis unit focuses on individual and group behaviour in organisations. Topics may include: personality and behaviour; personal performance and stress; decision-making skills; managing power, politics and conflict; team and group dynamics; gender and diversity issues; and interpersonal and group communication.Perspectives on Leadership DevelopmentTopics include: understanding various theories and models of change, how to enhance development and human and social capital, using assessment for development techniques, conceptualising and leveraging network perspectives on developing shared leadership capacity, and leading development of self and others at individual and collective levels.Leading Global CollaborationsYou will be placed in teams with others from around the world, in locations such as China, Finland, Hong Kong and the United States. Then, you’ll work together on a real deliverable – the development of a training module for an executive, with an international assignment in a specific country.
