This program will provide students with a broad introduction both to the study of Asia as well as to the teaching of Asia in their classrooms. Through this program students will gain an understanding of cultural, political, linguistic, historical and societial issues that pertain to Asia, as well as an understanding of how to teach these issues to their primary and high-school pupils.

Course programme

The Graduate Certificate of Teaching Asia requires the completion of 24 units, which must consist of:

24 units from completion of the following compulsory courses:

ASIA8035 Societies in Asia

ASIA6001 Language in Asia

ASIA8036 Teaching Asia

ASIA8037 Asia and the World



Entry requirements: A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4/7.
