Course description, features and facilities The course is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the use of exercise in the treatment of musculoskeletal and cardiovascular disability. Students are provided with a background in pathology and the contra-indications which apply in exercise therapy during the chronic stage of rehabilitation. The Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation is an ESSA-accredited course. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for admission to this course and demonstrate they meet ESSA’s “Exercise Science” criteria by means of: (a) a completed degree that is an ESSA-accredited “Exercise Science” course, or (b) successful completion of the ESSA’s “Graduate Entry Assessment” process by the commencement of Semester 1. Applicants who do not meet the ESSA’s “Exercise Science” criteria may consider applying for the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology course.
