About this course
The Technion’s Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering is one of the few departments worldwide to unite the areas of biotechnology and food engineering under one roof. Our mission is to tackle humanity’s greatest challenges by developing techniques to promote the sustainable production of safe and healthy foods, to create new technologies for treating deadly diseases, and to generate green energy. To address these challenges, our graduate program provides students with advanced multidisciplinary training by renowned and distinguished faculty as well as opportunities for involvement in highlevel research, which integrate scientific knowledge and methodologies from biology, chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, engineering and data science.

Course programme
The M.Sc. degree is intended for candidates who have completed a four-year bachelor's degree, earned a minimum grade point average of 84, and fulfilled Technion's general requirements for graduate studies. Acceptance to the program is subject to an interview, in which the candidate's level of relevant knowledge will be assessed. In addition, the committee for advanced degrees may consider the candidate's ranking
Ph.D.program
The Ph.D. program is intended for applicants who have earned an M.Sc. degree from an accredited academic institute. Applicants' academic and research achievements will be reviewed as necessary.
