The aim of this course is to provide our student with the basics of graphic design, master the basic skills to get them started and to help them to progress onto a Graphic Design related Diploma Course.

Software: For this course, Students should have one or all of the following; Adobe Creative Suite 4 (any version) or Individual Programs such as InDesign, PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator or Freehand MX

Time: Dedication to this course depends on the time you have available. This course should take between 12 and 18 months, but can be completed quicker or longer. It is flexible, but we can set a schedule for you if you require to finish this course by a specific time.

Study Material: Study material will be supplied, but we will also list a variety of additional study books etc which you can purchase if you wish.

Communication: It is important that you have access to the internet, Skype with a webcam. Knowledge & Skills: This course can be for beginners and no prior
knowledge or experience required to study this course.

Your Attributes: An ability to be self motivated, an eye for design and open to new ideas.

Entry Qualifications: None required for this course, but you must be able to communicate, read and write in English.

ASSESSMENTS: If you are successfully awarded a place on this course, you will be given a Pre-Course Assessment prior to beginning the main course. This is not a test and only an assessment on the level you are at at your time of entry. It will also not affect your course enrollment.

Your first step in graphic design this course introduces the fundamental concepts of graphic design and visual communication, bridging the gap between theory and real world practice. It is intended to provide a design basics ʻtoolkitʼ for those working within design or working closely with designers. This training course views design as a communication tool, exploring how and why it works.

You will require to have a keen interest in Graphic Design. You will also need access to the internet, basic knowledge of the Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. We will however provide additional training in this software, so it is not essential to know it completely. If you don't have the Adobe Software, as a student with us you will be entitled to the student discount with the Adobe Creative Cloud which give you full access to all software.

HOW TO ENROL ON A COURSE WITH US

It is easy to enrol on one of our courses, all you have to do is to:

1. Complete our Course Application Form

2. Print-off the application form and complete in handwriting, making sure you complete all of the sections.

3. Scan in or take a photo of the completed application form and email it back to us at admin@creativedesignschool.com

4. You should then proceed to making your course payment by selecting one of the payment options opposite.

5. Once we have receive all of the above, we will then set up your student account on our ecampus, which can take up to 5 working days. You will then receive your username and password which will allow you to start your course.

6. You will also be contacted by your own one-to-one tutor who will arrange a Skype with you to discuss your course in detail with you.

COURSE DURATION: The duration of this course is flexible, but for those who wish to set a timescale it can be completed between 10 - 12+ months depending on the time you wish to study, some may be able to complete it as quickly or a slow as you want - no pressures, or we can set a timescale for you to work to and complete.

COURSE OUTLINE: Before you begin this course, you will be given an assessment to help us to establish your individual strengths and weaknesses, then we will tailor the following modules to personalise your course and to build your own unique style

The Creative Design School International will give you your very own online Student Studio, where you will communicate with your highly qualified design coach and trainer.

This course is delivered online through our unique e-campus Student Studio. You will have full access to all of your study material, network with other students and able to discuss you projects and assignments with your design tutor via Skype or through you own Student Studio.

  6. Finishing

Successful completion of this Diploma Course will allow you progress onto the next level of Graphic Design Studies, which our Graphic Design Diploma Course or Advanced Graphic Design Diploma Course.
