What will I learn?
This is two-dimensional design for business, advertising and industry (company logos, trademarks and packaging etc) as a way of communicating information and a company?s image through the use of text and image. You will gain confidence in creative ability and using computer-based techniques. You will study how visual media can influence society and produce practical and critical/contextual work in one or more areas including illustration, advertising, packaging design, design for print, communication graphics, multimedia and animation.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry criteria.
Career opportunities:
A-level graphic design will prepare you to continue onto a foundation course or relevant degree. Possible careers in graphic design include working for the media, an advertising company, design agency and freelance self-employment.
