The course at Chichester College is unique in that it allows students to move into either a graphics or photographic based career following their graduation of their HND qualification. This will be discussed on an individual basis with learners in your induction of your first and second year. College tutors will advocate working towards the highest standards in their graduate portfolios and support you reach your fullest potential.

What you need to know
How will I study?

A significant portion of the course is dedicated to professional development through portfolio production, networking and work experience. Students will have worked with many local companies and all projects will have input from businesses and professionals in order to support professional development. Through these modules, they develop the following skills: Professional Skills in production and promotion of their media portfolios, creative skills in digital imagery, professional use of technical materials and software packages in both photography and graphic design.
How will I be taught?

Studying this course will be expected to study the following the programme of study: Visual Communication in Art and Design, Ideas Generation and Development in Art & Design, Contextual & Cultural Referencing in Art and Design, Professional Practice in Art & Design, Advertising Photography, Digital Image Creation & Development, Photographic Techniques, Photographic Materials, Techniques & Technology, Editorial Design, Work-based Experience, Communication with Images in Arts & Graphic Design.
How will I be assessed?

You will have worked with many local companies and all projects will have input from businesses and professionals in order to support professional development. Wherever possible you will be undertaking briefs that have been set by external clients to ensure that you have a 'real world' experience.
