This course is designed to give students a rigorous understanding of the theoretical and clinical foundations of group analysis, developed from the disciplines of psychoanalysis, sociology, developmental and social psychology and systems theory. Suitable for: The programme is suitable for health professionals (medical and non-medical) and for people working in educational or organisational settings who are interested in developing their understanding of the applications of group analysis to group functioning. Both personal and professional motivation will be taken into account, as suitability for psychotherapeutic work is a selection criteria.

MSc Group Analysis
Introduction
This advanced clinical training, provided in collaboration with the Institute of Group Analysis, meets both academic and professional standards for the practice of group analysis.
Successful completion leads to the award of an MSc. Having satisfied the academic and supervision requirements, students may present a further paper to the Institute of Group Analysis, demonstrating integration of the training in clinical practice. The acceptance of this paper leads to a professional membership of the Institute of Group Analysis, and allows candidates to register as group analysts with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
