Explosives will introduce concepts such as burning and detonation of gun and rocket propellants, initiation to burning and detonation of explosives, and insensitive high explosives. Materials for guided weapon airframes and structures will cover composite and high-temperature materials, and will present some material’s failure principles such as fatigue, stress-corrosion cracking and fracture toughness.

Course programme

Course structure This 5-day course is delivered via a mixture of short lectures, analytical practicals and demonstration of warheads at the range. All delegates receive a course folder containing all the materials presented in the course.
