Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is a one year programme aimed at stylists and senior stylists who have achieved level 2 Hairdressing or who have a minimum of three years salon experience. As part of the programme learners will also complete Essential Skills. Opportunities will also be provided for GCSEs in English, Welsh and Mathematics and for Welsh language development.

This qualification enables the successful candidate to expand their knowledge and practical skills opening up further job possibilities from progression into management, working on cruise ships, NVQ Level 4 in Salon Management and the skills required to open their own salon.

Additional information

Method of Assessment Continual practical observation in a real working environment throughout the programme. Written and oral assessments for each unit and assignments to ensure essential knowledge and understanding. Welsh or English assessments are available in some units.
