Master's Requirements

Year 1 (9 courses from core competencies or selective requirements)

  • Introduction to Medical Informatics
  • Introduction to Biostatistics
  • Medical Informatics I, II, III
  • One course from Health Care and Biomedical Knowledge
  • One course from Computation
  • Two selectives, electives, or research hours

Year 2 (5 courses from core competencies, selectives, or elective requirements)

  • 2-3 courses from track requirements, selectives, or electives
  • 1-2 courses in thesis development/completion

Other MA Degree Requirements

  • Mentor-evaluated research/thesis
