3. Entry requirements There are no formal entry qualifications but learners need to be working in some type of care setting. A literacy assessment, skills scan and interview is required prior to acceptance on the programme. Previous experience in the care sector is beneficial. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Competence and knowledge is demonstrated through the completion of a portfolio of evidence using written and oral evidence, observation in the workplace, recognition of prior learning & work products. Functional Skills in English and Maths is assessed by a written examination.
