Who is the course for?
This course is ideal for individuals engaged within either a nursing or residential care environment.
What is the course about?
There are eight units in total, 4 Mandatory & 4 Optional:
* Promote effective communications for and about individuals (Mandatory)
* Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment (Mandatory)
* Reflect on and develop your practise (Mandatory)
* Promote choice, well being and the protection of all individuals (Mandatory)
* Contribute to care planning and review (Optional)
* Contribute to planning, monitoring and reviewing the delivery of service for individuals (Optional)
* Support Individuals to access and use services and facilities (Optional)
* Contribute to the protection of individuals from harm to abuse (Optional)
* Move and position individuals (Optional)
* Prepare for, and undertake physiological measurements (Optional)
* Support individuals through bereavement (Optional)
* Support individuals through the process of dying (Optional)

LSC funded subject to status and locality with course fees of 550.

Start Date: Throughout the year.
How will I be assessed?
A Riverside College Halton assessor visits your place of work on a regular basis to support and conduct work based assessments.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Successful candidates may wish to progress onto a higher level NVQ depending on their job role.
