Course programme

  • Evidence of previous study to SCQF level 5 in a related area.

  • Experience of working in a Health and Care environment in a supervisory role, or an aspiration to do so. This is not dependant on job title, but on work related experience within the Care and Health, or relevant environment, this should be supported by a personal statement and two appropriate references.

  • If you’re a mature student without the qualifying grades, we’ll consider you if you have relevant experience and references and can show evidence of recent study.

  • You should be registered, eligible or prospectively eligible for registration with the SSSC.

This part time option of study is particularly attractive to those already employed. The course combines theory and practice so that employees can apply the things they learn to benefit organisational practice. This serves to promote organisational commitments to best value with Health and Care services being subject to continuous improvements.

Finally and very importantly, the course prepares employees for further study opportunities that assist employees aspiring to jobs in management roles.
