Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard
The aim of these qualifications is to prepare learners to work in the Health and Social Care industry and includes jobs such as care and support workers, personal assistants, domiciliary/community careworkers, support and outreach workers in the adult social care sector or healthcare assitants/clinical support workers in the health sector. These standards are suitable for those working in the NHS, social services, with private health care or social care providers, local authorities and voluntary organisations.
As a Lead Adult Care Worker you would be expected to take on responsibility in your role such as administering medication, co-ordinating care, updating the care plan and liasing with multi-disciplinary professionals.

Entry Requirements
Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard You should be at least 16 years old with a minimum of 4 GCSE's grade D or above including English and maths. Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship standard You should be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 4 GCSE's grace C or above including English and maths. For both standards you will be DBS checked prior to employment.
Delivery and Assessment
Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard All units will be nternally assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct obsevation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments/questions and an end-point independent knowledge assessment. Many learning outcomes within this qualification will require assessment in a real work environment. Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship standard This includes direct observation in the workplace, candidate accounts, testimonies, written assignments/questions which make up a portfolio of evidence and an end-point independent knowledge assessment. Many learning outcomes within this qualification will require assessment in a real work environment.
Progression
Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care which can be completed once in a senior position. Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship standard Qualifications once in a senior or team leading role such as team leading, mentoring and supervision training.
Career Opportunities
