2. Course description Summary: This course offers a broad introduction to the health and social care sector. Course description: This course gives a broad introduction to the area of health and social care. You will study six units; three core units that everyone takes and three more specialist units which look at a particular area in more depth. Objective: This is a practical, work-related course which will introduce you to the health and social care field. This exciting new programme is the equivalent of four GCSEs at Grades A*-C and give you a good basis for moving on to a more advanced work-related qualification. Assessment: Throughout the course, you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
