This course course is designed for individuals who are qualified nurses in their own countries, but whose professional qualification is at diploma level i.e. below bachelor degree level. This course enables such candidates to upgrade their qualification to bachelor degree level, for reasons of professional development, career progression etc.

About this course
Demonstrate knowledge of access to databases, selection and retrieval of relevant reading,
Demonstrate the ability to present, compare and interpret readings to develop arguments relevant to the stated purpose
Evaluate the arguments to present a summary of strengths and limitations of the evidence or recommendation,
Develop the essay as an integration of literature and/or theory to practice through out. The overall piece of work might either: a. Make recommendations for practice, b. Undertake a case study, or develop one previously undertaken, or c. Present a critical review of a practice related issue
Graduates in nursing, midwifery, radiography and occupational therapy from the School of Healthcare Sciences gain both an academic and professional qualification that is well regarded by Betsi Cadwaldr University Health Board, Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, University Hospital of North Staffordshire, the Countess of Chester Hospital and other educational partner placement providers in Wales and England.

Academic:
A recognised Diploma in Nursing, at an academic level equivalent to having successfully completed the 1st year of a University degree in the UK.
