The L2 course in Healthcare Support offers the opportunity for those working in Healthcare to gain a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating their knowledge,understanding and competence. Learners could be working in a variety of clinical settings such as: hospital wards, outpatients, maternity and paediatric units, sexual health clinic and day units.

How will I study?
The Level 2 Diploma comprises of Mandatory units: Communication, Personal Development,Equality and Diversity, Duty of Care,Safeguarding and Protection, Role of the Healthcare Worker, Person-Centred Approaches, Health and Safety, Handling of Information, Prevention and Control of Infection and Causes and Spread of Infection. A selection of optional units suited to your needs and preferences will be chosen with the help of your tutor. Functional skills - (Maths and English) and Employee Rights and Responsibilities are also part of this qualification.
How will I be taught?
Delivery of the course will be one to one with an assessor in the workplace. A tutor will be available to provide support for Functional skills if required.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment will take place in the work place by the assessor using a variety of methods: observations, discussion, reflective accounts and written work.
