Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship (Level 2)

What type of work will I do and what qualifications will I gain?

Although apprenticeships will vary depending on your entry level and your employer, you will gain a range of skills from the varying tasks you complete, these could include:

• Routine heavy vehicle maintenance
• Removal and replacement of vehicle units
• Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults
• Working safely on hybrid vehicles
• Fitting and replacing vehicle tyres
• Maintenance and installation of alarms, digital instruments, satellite navigation systems, etc.

You will also gain the following qualifications:

• Competence and Knowledge Qualification - Level 2 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Employer Rights and Responsibilities
• Level 1 Functional skills Maths
• Level 1 Functional skills English
• Level 1 Functional skills ICT
