You will complete the following qualifications as part of the apprenticeship framework:
BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Applied Chemistry
NVQ Level 4 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities
Areas of study include:
Organic chemistry
Inorganic chemistry

Laboratory Management
You will also study essential skills in literacy, numeracy and digital literacy.

Course programme


Further study at university in a relevant subject. This apprenticeship is recognised, with continual professional development, to Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) status. Laboratory technician positions in a range of research fields or testing laboratories in hospitals, environmental monitoring or educational establishments.

Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science. A minimum of two AS Levels (to include chemistry and/or maths).
