Who is this course for?

This course provides a specialist work related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for employment in a number of roles in the IT and computing sectors.

What will I study?
There are 16 units which you must complete which cover hardware, software, networking, systems analysis and databases.

The optional units on this course offer students the choice between the e-Business suite which covers;

• e-Business Technology
• e-Business Development
• e-Business Strategy
• Professional Development

OR the Multimedia and Internet suite which covers

• Multimedia Design and Authoring
• Website Design
• Human Computer Interface
• e-Business Strategy

Attendance Full Time
How will I be assessed? Assessment will be carried out by the use of coursework assignments throughout the duration of the course.
What can I do after the course?

On successful completion of the HND it will be possible for you to progress to a range of Degree courses. You may be eligible for entry to the third year of many Degree courses at a number of universities.

Students on this course will have the opportunity to apply to spend a full academic year at a College or University in the USA studying business and management related studies.

The Training and Employment Agency pay the cost of all accommodation, meals, travel to and from the US, as well as providing a monthly allowance. The US College or University provides the tuition free of charge. Students in their pre-final year are eligible to apply.
