Introduction:
This Higher National Diploma (HND) is designed for students who have previously achieved an HNC in an Engineering discipline and are looking to develop to â€-top-up' from an HNC to HND by studying four additional modules. To achieve the HND you need a total of 5 modules at Level 2 from your HNC and HND units (at least 3 modules at Level 2 should have been achieved on your HNC).

The programme would be set up on an individual basis to meet your requirements. A typical programme might include a mixture of technical subjects to increase the spread of your technical competencies and one or two management subjects eg project management. There may be timetabling restrictions with regard to choice of modules.

Study Mode & Location:
This one year part-time course is studied on a day release basis for one afternoon (Friday) and one evening per week. It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Preston PR2 8UR.
