HNC Built Environment

The HNC in Built Environment develops knowledge and skills in areas such as building measurement and cost studies, environmental building science, building services, construction materials and specifications, as well as sustainability and modern methods of construction.

Candidates will gain contemporary vocational skills including study, research, analysis, planning and organisational skills. They will also learn to take responsibility for their own learning and develop abilities to be flexible and to work co-operatively with others.

One academic year (full time)

Two days per week 9am – 6.00pm Monday and Wednesday

The College is an essential provider of a vast range of courses all focused on developing relevant skills for employment and to enhance current career prospects for those who are already working. For 2016-17 it was established that 86% of HN graduates at the College progressed into employment or further study.
