Aimed at those in management roles or aspiring to business management, this course is designed to develop skills that will prepare the learner for the diverse role of management in commerce or industry.

This course will develop a wide range of management skills. This is achieved through the study of key subjects, including Business Strategy, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Finance. Assessment is assignment based and will focus on key business management related activities.
The course will provide a possible opportunity to take part in an international visit to various economic and financial institutions in other parts of the world and investigate alternative approaches to business and management.
Learners also have the opportunity to take advantages of the new Enterprise Academy and Innovation space, which is designed to further embrace, cultivate and develop learners practical application and skills to start-up a new business within the commercial business sector.
The Higher National Certificate is a two years part time business/management programme. However, there is the opportunity for the qualification to be achieved over one year on a fast track programme in negotiation with the course tutor.
Learners are expected to be proactive with the ability to conduct research and study independently in addition to subject teaching delivery.
