Course Aims:
This advanced level course is designed to teach you many aspects of construction and is well recognised in the industry. Upon completion, you may either continue your studies or progress into employment in a wide number of roles including construction management, facilities management, civil engineering, building services, architectural technology or quantity surveying.

Architectural Design, Sketching & Drawing. Building Measurement & Cost Studies. Building Science. Building Services: An Introduction. CAD:2D 1. Construction Industry: An Introduction. Construction Materials & Specification. Construction Technical Communication Skills. Construction Technology: Domestic Construction. Construction Technology: Sub Structures. HNC Construction Graded Unit 1.

Progression Opportunities:
Upon successful completion, students may progress onto Year 2 of the HND or related degree level courses.

Career Potential:
Gaining your HNC can allow you to gain a foothold on the promotions ladder. Typical careers include foreman, general foreman and site management.

Course Assessment:
Course assessment is undertaken continuously throughout the college session with a Graded Unit towards the end of the course.
