One Higher Grade pass and three Credit Level Standard Grades. Trade experience, Intermediate 2 in a relevant subject or successful completion of an appropriate NC course may also gain acceptance onto the course. All candidates will be required to attend an information session.

Course Aims:
This advanced level course is designed to teach you many aspects of construction and is well recognised in the industry. Architectural Design, Sketching & Drawing. Building Measurement & Cost Studies. Building Science. Building Services: An Introduction. CAD:2D 1. Construction Industry: An Introduction. Construction Materials & Specification. Construction Technical Communication Skills. Construction Technology: Domestic Construction. Construction Technology: Sub Structures. HNC Construction Graded Unit 1.

Progression Opportunities:
Upon successful completion, students may progress onto Year 2 of the HND or related degree level courses.

Career Potential:
Gaining your HNC can allow you to gain a foothold on the promotions ladder. Typical careers include foreman, general foreman and site management.

Course Assessment:
Course assessment is undertaken continuously throughout the college session with a Graded Unit towards the end of the course.
