The study of Applied Biology will develop your knowledge of biology for practical purposes. The course integrates technical, practical, problem solving and work-related skills with technical competence being an essential component of achieving the qualification. You will be taught in our brand new, fully equipped STEM centre including access to a clean room and full range of analytical equipment for the analysis of biological materials and for the investigation of microorganisms, plants and animals and provided with ample opportunity to undertake hands-on experiments and computer based exercises which not only underpin theory, but also provide technical training.Note: this course is co-taught for some of the modules with the Chemistry pathway.

About this course
You will need to have prior achievement at Level 3, including Biology and the equivalent to 48 UCAS points. Applicants will normally be expected to hold GCSE English and Maths at grade C or 4 or above***PLEASE NOTE Applications should be made Via the UCAS site at UCAS Code:C110
