An innovative and flexible course which will prepare learners for a career in personnel management and related areas in human resource management. The course will additionally provide learners with a breadth of study and mix of skills which will qualify them for alternative career options and progression to degree level education. OTHER INFORMATION:

This HNC award has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) as qualifying for associate membership of the Institute. It is a requirement of the course that learners join the CIPD at the start of their HNC and pay the subsidised annual membership fee which is currently £164.

COURSE CONTENT

A selection of core units includes:
Individual Employment Relations (Law); Individual Employment Relations (Practice); Continuing Professional Development (Introductory Concept); Human Resource Management (An Introduction); Recruitment, Selection and Induction; Interviewing.

A selection of optional units includes:
Human Resource Management (The Business Context) An introduction to Learning and Development; Managing People and Organisations.

PROGRESSION
