About this course

NC Rock & Pop Music or equivalent, or one Higher Grade pass, preferably Music although other Highers will be considered. An audition on one of the instruments from the above list and an interview will form an important part of the selection procedure.

Progression Opportunities:
Students who successfully pass the HNC may progress to the year 2 of HND Music.

Employment opportunities include session musician, lecturer, recording artist, instrumental instructor, songwriter and performer.

Course Assessment:
Assessment is on a continous basis where each module is broken down into seperate performance criteria. The main emphasis of the course is on practical assesment, however certain modules are project/research based and are assessed through submited written work. Assessment will include a mandatory Group Award Graded Unit.
