HNC Social Services (Evening)

Units of study include subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, Social Care Theory and Social Policy. You will also critically analyse Social Care in the 21st Century, this helps develop your own knowledge and skills in the Care Field and relates theory to practice. It also prepares you for working with new client groups in a broad range of settings. These units are suitable for those currently working in Social Care and supports professional development to meet the continuing requirements for SSSC registration.

It is preferable that candidates have some experience of care work - but not necessarily paid employment.  Learners should have an understanding that care values and communication skills are essential for good care delivery.
