About this course
One Higher Grade pass, preferably in Art & Design, and two Standard Grade/Intermediate 2 passes, or a suitable group of SQA modules such as NC Art & Design Portfolio. Applicants may be admitted without formal qualifications. All applicants are required to bring samples of their work to the information session.

Course Content:
· Introduction to Visual Communication ?Graphic Design, ?Digital Imaging ?Developmental Drawing ?Art & Design, Project ?Art & Design Context ?Typography ?DTP & Page Layout, 3D Design ?Photography ?Graded Unit, Groups will be given the opportunity to select from additional, units such as Web Design and Printmaking
Progression Opportunities:
Successful students may progress to HND Visual Communication, Art, School or to degree programmes such as BA Digital Art at the, University of the West of Scotland, BA Applied Graphics Technology at, Glasgow Caledonian University, BA Visual Communication and Media, Design at Abertay and BA Graphic Design at the University of Cumbria.

Course Assessment:
Continuous assessment, through mainly project-based work, while, some units have written assignments.
