Course Aims:
This course aims to provide an advanced knowledge of office management and technologies. A wide range of IT skills are developed in year 1 and further enhanced in year 2.

Course Content:
IT in Business: Advanced Word Processing. IT in Business: Advanced Spreadsheets. IT in Business: Advanced Databases. Office Management. Business Information Management. Project Management. Developing the Individual Within a Team. Presentation Skills.

Progression Opportunities:
On completion, students may progress to university, entering the second or third year of a relevant degree programme.

Career Potential:
This course prepares students for a range of careers in senior administrative posts with supervisory management responsibilities within the public and private sectors.

Course Assessment:
A variety of methods are used throughout this course including a graded unit case study and a graded unit examination.
