This is a two-year full time course for students who want experience a wide range of Computing and IT Skills that are widely used in Industry.
Students should have a keen interest in Computing/IT and want to keep up with emerging technologies and understand where they are important to a company’s business model. Successful students can progress from the programme direct into the final year of BSc Computing related degree at UWTSD.
The course covers modules that identifies the skill shortage within IT/Computing, that include: Computer Architecture and Networks, Computational Thinking, Software Development, Information Engineering, Data Analysis and Visualisation, Web Design/Web Development, Cybersecurity, Server Management/Virtualisation, Application Development for Business, Database Management Systems and for those students who are interested in setting up and running their own business there is Enterprise/Innovation module.
The programme is delivered through lectures, case studies, practical demonstrations and tutorials.

Entry Criteria: UCAS Tariff - 48 points A level - DD/EEE Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma - PPP Access to HE Diploma - Pass Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma - MP Other relevant qualifications would be considered subject to interview and relevant academic experience. Mature student who have relevant experience and do not have the formal entry requirements will also be considered and will be subject to interview
