There are sixteen units to complete over the two year course, eight units per year: Drawing in Fine Art Developing a fine art language Developing a fine art identity Historical and contextual referencing Critical study Visual arts professional practice Drawing personal development Materials and processes in Fine Art Lens-based recording techniques Painting Sculpture Fine Art digital appliances Site specific artwork Specialist studio practice Presenting and exhibiting artwork Printmaking Students will also enjoy regular visits to local and national galleries, field trips and European study trips. Progression onto a BA in Visual Arts (one year Top up degree) is available at Calderdale College and is validated by Leeds Metropolitan University.
