What's it all about?:
Does the thought of dealing with lots of different hospitality tasks excite you? Do you like new challenges every day? One day you could be preparing food and drinks for a wedding party and the next arranging business conference facilities or working on a hotel reception desk. Our course will develop your relevant strengths and show you how to deal with your weaknesses through training to you help juggle these different demanding roles

Progression:
Successful students may progress to the NVQ Level 3 Hospitality Supervision at the College.

Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:

· four GCSEs at grades D-G (including English and maths)

· a BTEC foundation diploma in a related subject

· an NVQ level 1/technical certificate in a related subject

· successful completion of the Gateway/Newstart programme

· successful completion of the E2E/Prince's Trust programme

· equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.

In addition, you should be working in the hospitality industry and must be employed in a position to demonstrate competence in food and drink service, food preparation/cooking, housekeeping and reception (minimum of two of these four areas are required plus generic units).

Duration: One year
