This course is designed to give you a combination of culinary expertise and managerial skills. Containing practical and theory units, it covers food and drink management, kitchen planning, food production processes and licensing law, as well as providing practical experience of life in the hospitality industry.

Course programme

How will I learn?Students will learn on campus in the excellent training kitchen facilities. This course is very practical with a range of topics being covered including health and safety, food hygiene, preparing and cooking a wide variety of food stuffs and cooking using a variety of cooking processes.
On successful completion students may progress to the City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Professional Cookery.
