Hospitality, Travel & Tourism BTEC Introductory Diploma Level 1

Course Overview
A course designed to introduce you to two very important and closely linked industries â€" hospitality and tourism.

Course Structure
The course includes compulsory, personal skills and optional units including:

• Customer Service

• Social Responsibility

• Financial management

• Promotional displays in tourism

• Planning trips

• The Aspiring Chef

There will be an opportunity to take part in work experience in a chosen field (hospitality or travel & tourism)

Qualification Aims
On successful completion of the course why not go on to study one of a number of level 2 courses at the college, in either travel & tourism or hotel & catering; or seek employment in either of those industries.

Assessments/Examinations
The assessment consists of a combination of coursework assignments and practical assessments.

Cost / Equipment
Those students over 19 will have to pay a tuition fee. All Travel & Tourism courses have compulsory uniform. Uniform approx£100.
