Are you hospitable, entrepreneurial, interested in the hotel industry and an organisational talent? Then the bachelor Hotel and Event Management may be a good fit! You can end up working in a wide variety of positions (such as: Hotel Manager, Wedding Planner or Event Manager) and for many different organisations all around the world.

Havo, vwo (any profile), mbo4-diploma.
Comparable diploma, e.g.: German Fachhochschulreife or Abitur (algemeine Hochschulreife), British GCE A-levels, French Baccalaureat, American High School (incl. a college preparatory programme) or secondary business education.
CEFR: ≥ B2. TOEFL: iBT ≥ 75-80 points (Institutional TOEFL code Tio: 4764). IELTS academic: ≥ 6.0. Cambridge exam: ≥ 160 points / Cambridge First Certificate.

Course programme

Practical is the keyword: learning by doing! Circa 60% of the Hotel- and eventmanagement bachelor programme has a practical focus. The curriculum is divided into several components:

- Hotel Management

Includes subjects, such as: Law and hospitality, Menu Development & Design, and Food & Beverage Management.

- Event Management

Includes subjects, such as: Creative Concept Design, Event Marketing, and Event Project Management

- Entrepreneurship & E-commerce

Includes subjects, such as: Digital Marketing, Finance & Accounting, and Supply Chain Management

Some of the minors you can choose from: Digital Marketing, International Financial Managements, Sales or Study Abroad.

And finally, your final thesis. You will be doing research independently or within a company.
