Introduction This qualification is aimed at people who:
are seeking a career in Housekeeping and wish to take the first steps towards professional qualifications
are involved in Housekeeping as their primary work activity and wish to achieve a professional qualification
wish to receive recognition for their Housekeeping experience

Course Units NVQ Level 2 Housekeeping Course Content:
Candidate must complete all units from Group A plus four units from Group B.

A - Mandatory
· Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
· Contribute to effective teamwork
· Clean and service a range of areas
· Work using different chemicals and equipment

B - Optional
· Collect linen and make beds · Clean windows from the inside
· Prepare, service and clear meeting and conference rooms
· Maintain housekeeping supplies · Provide a linen service
· Carry out periodic room servicing and deep cleaning
· Give Customers a Positive Impression of Yourself and Your Organisation
· Clean and Protect Floors · Clean Carpets and Soft Furnishings

Technical Certificate:
Award in Hospitality & Catering Principles
