Building a Simple Agency Website
10 lectures 25:35
Should You Focus On a Specific Niche & Service Offering?
Getting Creative With Your Agency Name
It actually took me a couple weeks to come up with "Frozen Wave Media" which is my agency name. Just get creative and come up with something easy to tell people about.
Registering a Domain
I use GoDaddy for registering all of my domain names and I've always been happy with their service for domains.
You can find 99 cent coupons online as well if you look.
Web Hosting
I recommend a company called Themecloud.io for all of your web hosting. Check out the link for more details.
Setting Up Your Website With Wordpress
Creating a Professional Email Address
When I first started out I continued to use my personal gmail address. It didn't look 'unprofessional' by any means but ideally when you get started with your agency you really want to switch over to a real company email address.
Most web hosting providers offer a built in mail platform through Cpanel, so the setup will differ depending on your host. I recommend setting up the email in Cpanel and then syncing it to a client such as Microsoft Outlook or you could use MailBird.
Recommended Themes & Plugins
Here is a list of the plugins that I use and recommend, some you may not need but all are worth checking out.

Website Graphics & Business Cards
I use a seller on Fiverr named TwentyTwoMedia for all of my graphic work.
I have tried ordering several logos from other sellers and most of the time I am not satisfied with the work. The owner is named Joanna and they really do amazing work, every logo or design I've ever had done was by her team.
You can order from her on Fiverr here.
If she is unavailable via Fiverr you can always go direct but you may end up paying at least $30 for a basic logo.
Walking You Through My Niche Focused Agency Website
In this video I show my marketing agency website. Keep in mind if you decide to grab the theme, the discount is only applied after you click 'buy now'.
Offering Web Design & SEO?
In a lot of cases you may find most digital marketing companies offer all kinds of services. They will do paid advertising, social media, SEO, web design etc.
It all goes hand in hand but if you are running solo and just starting out you really should focus on one specific area. If you want to build Wordpress sites you should start there and possibly upsell SEO, maybe you could outsource web design and do the SEO yourself.
I generally build the websites myself and try to upsell SEO, I don't really do paid advertising or any social media. If a client were to ask me I'd most likely find a freelancer to do the work for me.
